The journey to authentic relationships
Workshop Based on M. Scott Peck’s Method
May 29–30–31, 2026
Budapest
The moment we abandon our true selves for the sake of preserving a relationship, we sacrifice our identity, our inner integrity, and the possibility of authentic connection.
The workshop is designed based on M. Scott Peck’s methodology, using structured guidelines to create the trust, safety, and depth of connection – a process that would normally take much longer – to be experienced within just three days.
We invite you to take part in a three-day journey where you can experience authentic human connection.
You can experience what it feels like to receive accepting, attentive presence within a community.
In this space, you can access the power that lies in being truly heard through open, attentive listening.
As long as we identify with roles, we cannot be fully ourselves and cannot develop inner
stability.
In this workshop, you can develop capacities that you can apply in your relationships in meaningful ways.
This can lead to in experience of wholeness and healing, where the group becomes capable of functioning through a shared energy—one that is greater than the sum of its individual parts.
Where does the Community Building method come from?
Based on 30 years of experience, American psychiatrist M. Scott Peck identified and gathered the key factors that enable true community to emerge, and whose absence prevents deep and authentic connection.
He also observed four stages in the development of human connection. In everyday life, however, we typically experience only the first two: superficial connection and periods of chaos and conflict.
By creating the Community Building Workshop, he established an experiential space where we can move beyond these stages and experience the quality of connection he called True Community—while also gaining practical insight into how to support the deepening of our relationships.
You are not alone in wanting…
…stability, safety, and real connection.
In longing to be fully yourself in your relationships, without being judged for it.
This path is not always comfortable, but it is possible.
You can experience what it’s like when…
…you are met with attentive, holding presence as you share what is alive within you;
…you feel accepted—free to be who you are, knowing you are enough and that you
belong;
…inner stability arises from your authenticity;
…you create value simply by allowing yourself to be seen;
…you are fully emotionally present.
What else does this workshop offer you?
Greater inner integrity, stability, and resilience
Increased effectiveness and creativity
A deeper acceptance of yourself and others
A renewed sense of vitality—both individually and in groups
Greater awareness of yourself in relationships
The ability to create a safe space where others can open up
The integration of open, attentive listening and “holding space” into your communication
More refined relational skills in your close relationships
The capacity to embrace chaos as a natural part of life
In this three-day workshop, you can have an experience that offers a completely new
perspective on the natural process of human connection.
You can experience what it feels like to express yourself honestly—without fear, and
without having to play a role in order to be accepted.
In this workshop, you don’t need to hide your individuality; your uniqueness is welcomed
and valued.

Essential Information for the 3-Day Workshop
This workshop is not intended as therapy, although it may lead to deep personal change. It can be emotionally challenging at times, so if you are currently working with a psychologist or therapist, please speak with our facilitators in advance. (You are welcome to contact the lead organizer, Zsuzsa Csák, at +36 20 449 5088.) We also recommend informing your therapist that you will be attending a Community Building Workshop.
Confidentiality is a prerequisite for participation. It helps create a safe space where we can share what lives in our hearts and souls. What is shared in the circle stays in the circle.
Please plan to be present for the full duration of the workshop. The process we move through together can only be complete if all participants are present from beginning to end.
The workshop is organized by Community Building International (CBI). Its purpose is not to create an ongoing community, but to experience the process of becoming a community—to witness how a group transforms into a true community.
While friendships often form and some participants may stay in touch afterward, this is neither an expectation nor a goal. The focus is on the experience of the process itself.
